I am a licensed Professional Geologist, with an inter-disciplinary research and teaching interests in applied and environmental geology.

    • surface water and groundwater quality

    • assessing pollution levels in water and sediments

    • remediation of metal pollutants

    • Investigating microbe-mineral interactions as proxies to Paleo-Earth and Mars, particularly from hypersaline environments and coastal settings

    • Microbial role in ore formation and remediation

    • Geological carbon dioxide sequestration
